Churches Together in Newmarket and District hosts the World Day of Prayer each year along with Christians throughout the world. The WDP is an ecumenical and international movement, led by women as an offering to the whole church. Everyone is invited to join in on the first Friday in March each year, using material prepared by women of one particular country. The services use themes and messages important to the people of that country to enable the church to pray about issues important to them.
The services tend to be held at 12 noon and are followed by a simple soup lunch. They are held in various churches around Newmarket and District:
